In early 2021, I came to Xiamen in pursuit of a relationship that would not work out. One day by chance, I overheard the song 'Golden Heart of a Seventeen Year Old Girl' by the band Brickleberry on the beach in Xiamen.
The sound of the waves, the stars at night, and the mix of love for the person I adore and the feelings of not being able to become a lover create a romantic aesthetic under rational restraint. I would describe this romantic aesthetic as "the sensual goes on forever even if the rational ends in sadness".
The collection continues the sustainable design approach by combining the bio-fur from the 2020 collection with Converse stock items to create an emotional narrative of 'restrained romance' within the collection.
